How to Enable USB Debugging on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Later
Note: The below steps will allow you to enable USB debugging on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Android 5.0 Lollipop, Android 4.4 KitKat and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Step 1: Enable Developer Option – Tap on Settings, scroll down and tap About Phone. Scroll down and find Build Number. Tap 7 times on the build number or until you see “You are now a Developer” message.
Note: You must enable developer option, before you can enable USB debugging.
Step 2: Enable USB debugging – Tap on Settings, scroll down and open Developer Options. Go to Debugging section and enable USB debugging by checking the box. Tap OK to confirm.
How to Enable USB Debugging on Android 4.1 and 4.0
Step 1: Enable Developer Option – Go to Settings, scroll down, About phone, Developer options and enable it.
Step 2: Enable USB Debugging – Go to Settings, Developer Option and enable USB debugging.
How to Enable USB Debugging on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Earlier
In the earlier version of Android, there was no need to enable developer option as could access the USB debugging directly from the settings.
Go to Settings, tap on Application, find Development and enable USB Debugging.
